Optional hands-free timing

Let Elocira suggest a direction
when the interviewer pauses

Turn on Auto during a live interview and Elocira listens for settled interviewer speech. After a brief natural pause, it checks whether the latest turn calls for your response and, when useful, starts streaming personalized guidance without another tap.

See the guidance Auto mode brings into view

This product clip shows the live suggestion card that Auto can bring into view after its trigger. Auto changes the timing of the request—not the structure or evidence standards of the response.

In this guide

Use automatic timing without giving up control

You will learn when Auto requests guidance, why not every pause produces a card, how duplicate requests are avoided, when manual timing works better, and where to set your preferred default. Audio capture must already be active through Desktop or a compatible browser setup.

Turn on → listen → decide → stream

How automatic suggestions work

  1. Turn on Auto in the live controls

Tap Auto beside Suggest. The control changes appearance to show that automatic requests are enabled for the current live console. You can switch it off at any point without ending audio capture.

  2. Let the interviewer finish the thought

Elocira follows speech labeled as the interviewer. It does not request guidance for every word or partial transcript update; it waits for the speech to settle and for a short conversational pause.

  3. Elocira checks whether an answer is needed

A pause might follow a real question, but it can also follow an acknowledgement, transition, unfinished thought or speech directed elsewhere. Auto checks the latest turn and can quietly skip it when no candidate response appears necessary.

  4. The suggestion panel comes into focus

When a response is useful, the console shows the generating state and begins streaming the suggestion. The card uses the same Question, Answer, Keys and Explanation structure as a manual request.

  5. Read, verify and answer naturally

Scan the direct answer and supporting facts, then use only what is accurate. Automatic timing does not make AI output authoritative: you still decide what to say and how to phrase it.

  6. Switch to manual whenever timing matters

Turn Auto off and tap Suggest after the exact question you want to answer. Disabling Auto also clears a waiting automatic trigger. If generation has already started, use Cancel when you no longer want that response.

What happens after a pause

A quiet decision before a visible response

Auto is designed to avoid turning every gap in speech into another suggestion.

01

Interviewer speech settles

The newest interviewer turn becomes available as question context.

02

Brief pause

Elocira waits instead of reacting to a partial sentence.

03

Response check

Filler and turns that need no candidate answer can be skipped.

04

Guidance streams

A useful request opens in Suggestions for you to verify.

Choose the rhythm

Auto and manual use the same context

The difference is when generation starts.

Auto

Useful for a steady interview flow

  • Starts after settled interviewer speech and a pause
  • Can skip turns that do not call for an answer
  • Reduces the need to reach for Suggest
  • Can be disabled immediately in the live controls
Suggest

Useful when you want exact timing

  • Starts only when you tap
  • Works well for long or multi-part prompts
  • Lets you wait for clarification before generating
  • Remains available whether Auto is on or off

Your preferred default

Set future interviews in AI preferences

The Auto button changes the current live console. For a lasting default, open AI preferences in your account and enable or disable Automatic answering. New live sessions read that saved preference when they open; you can still override it from the live controls.

What Elocira handles

Trigger timing

  • Settled interviewer transcript
  • A short pause before requesting guidance
  • A check for whether a response is needed
  • One active generation at a time
  • The same context used by manual guidance

What you control

Whether to use it

  • Auto on or off during the session
  • Your saved default in AI preferences
  • Cancelling an active generation
  • Switching to manual Suggest
  • Which generated points you actually say

Before relying on Auto

Give it a clean conversational signal

  • Verify interviewer audio appears under the correct speaker.
  • Wait for the full question before beginning your answer.
  • Keep Auto off during introductions if suggestions would distract you.
  • Use headphones to reduce echo and mixed speaker audio.
  • Watch for transcription errors in names or technical terms.
  • Confirm consent and the interviewing organization's rules.

Realistic limitations

A pause is a signal, not perfect intent detection

Interviewers pause while thinking, speaking to another participant, changing topics or waiting for a screen to load. Elocira tries to skip turns that do not require your response, but it may still generate too early, too late or when no suggestion is useful.

Overlapping speakers, delayed transcription, poor audio or an unfinished question can also affect timing. Turn Auto off when the conversation is irregular, cancel an unwanted generation, and use manual Suggest after the intended question is clear.

Common questions

Automatic interview suggestions

Does Auto generate after every interviewer pause?

No. A pause starts the timing check, but Elocira also evaluates whether the latest speech appears to call for a candidate response. Acknowledgements, filler, transitions and unfinished thoughts can be skipped.

Can Auto create duplicate suggestions?

The console avoids starting another request while generation is already active. New settled speech can lead to a later suggestion after the current response finishes, but overlapping requests are not intentionally stacked.

What happens when I turn Auto off?

Any waiting automatic trigger is cleared and future pauses stop requesting guidance. Audio capture and transcription continue, and the manual Suggest control remains available. If a response is already generating, use Cancel to stop it.

Will my Auto choice be remembered?

The live Auto button controls the current console. To choose the default used when future sessions open, change Automatic answering under AI preferences in your account.

When is manual Suggest better?

Use manual timing for long questions, panel conversations, case prompts, frequent interruptions, or any moment when you want to wait for clarification before asking for guidance.
