Visual context from your computer
Bring the question on screen
into Elocira’s guidance
When an interviewer shares a case, diagram, code sample or written prompt, request a screenshot through the live console. Elocira Desktop captures the computer screen, places the image in the transcript timeline and uses it with the latest conversation to generate guidance.
Real product workflow
One capture, visible in the timeline
The screenshot becomes part of the current interview context. Elocira automatically requests fresh guidance, while the original image stays available for you to inspect or delete.
Which part of this onboarding funnel would you investigate first?
Start with the setup drop-off
The largest proportional loss happens after signup. I would segment it by device, acquisition source and the first required setup step.
- Check mobile-specific friction
- Compare new and returning users
- Validate with completion-time data
Fictional data is shown here. The real console displays the image captured from your connected computer.

Add only the visual context the answer needs
You will learn when a screenshot helps, how the Desktop capture moves into the live timeline, what Elocira uses for the next suggestion and how to remove an image you did not intend to keep.

How screenshot context works
Connect Elocira Desktop and start capture
The camera control is available during an active live session with a connected Desktop device. Browser-only capture cannot take a screenshot of your computer through this control.
Prepare the relevant screen
Bring the shared prompt, diagram or code into view. Close notifications and move private tabs, messages or unrelated documents away before capturing.
Request the screenshot
Tap the camera control in the live console. The request goes to Elocira Desktop, which captures the computer screen and uploads the image to the current interview.
Verify it in the transcript timeline
The image appears chronologically beside the conversation. Open the preview and confirm that the intended question is readable and nothing sensitive slipped into view.
Review the new guidance
A successful screenshot automatically requests fresh guidance. Elocira combines the latest image with the current question, recent transcript and the interview context you prepared.
Delete it when it should not remain
Open the screenshot, choose Delete and confirm. It disappears from the session timeline and is no longer available as the latest screenshot for future requests.
When the screen carries the question
Use visual context for the missing details
A screenshot is most useful when the spoken question depends on something you can see.
Case prompt or chart
Capture the figures, labels and constraints the interviewer expects you to analyze.
Code or debugging task
Include the relevant snippet, error state or expected output—not unrelated windows.
Diagram or product screen
Give Elocira the flow, architecture or interface being discussed in the conversation.
Desktop capture boundary
Your phone can show the result, but Desktop takes the picture
You may open the live console on another device and see a saved screenshot there. The captured image still comes from the connected Windows or Linux computer running Elocira Desktop; the control does not take a photo or screen capture from your phone.

A safer capture checklist
Clean the screen before you click
- Capture only what is relevant to the question.
- Close chats, email and personal notifications.
- Check names, customer data and confidential code.
- Confirm the image is readable in the timeline.
- Delete an accidental or unnecessary capture.
- Follow the interviewer’s consent and tool rules.
Realistic limitations
A screenshot adds evidence; it does not guarantee interpretation
Small text, cropped content, overlays and dense diagrams can be misread. Screen-capture permissions and multi-monitor behavior can also vary by operating system, so verify the image that appears in the timeline rather than assuming the intended content was captured.
The newest screenshot can supplement later guidance until another screenshot replaces it or you delete it. Deleting the image removes it from future context, but it does not rewrite a suggestion that was already generated from that image.
Common questions
Screenshot context
Does taking a screenshot request guidance automatically?
Yes. After the image uploads successfully, Elocira requests a fresh suggestion using the screenshot and current interview context. You do not need to tap Suggest separately.
Can I capture the interviewer’s shared screen?
If the shared content is visible on the computer running Elocira Desktop, request a screenshot and verify what arrived in the timeline. Capture behavior and permissions can differ by operating system and display setup.
Can I take the screenshot from my phone?
No. A mobile live console can display the session and its saved image, but the screenshot itself is captured by the connected Elocira Desktop computer.
What happens if guidance is already generating?
Elocira does not stack overlapping responses. It keeps the new screenshot available and can request one follow-up generation after the active response finishes.
Can I remove a screenshot?
Yes. Open it from the timeline, choose Delete and confirm. Removing it prevents that image from being used as the latest screenshot in later guidance requests.
